My darling and wonderful husband received the heartbreaking news from work today that he was laid off. It was not performance based at all but just because his company was doing very badly in this economy. His unsaved boss of 8 1/2 years was very saddened because of this news. Gus was able to share the hope of our trust in God's sovereignty with him, so that's a blessing. Gus will also receive two months of severance pay, another huge blessing. Our most immediate prayer request is for a car, since the only one we have has been provided by Gus' work, and must be returned this Friday. And then for a job for Gus, specifically with medical benefits. We know that God is sovereign and not surprised at all by these turns of events in our lives. We covet your prayers that we do not lean on our own understanding but fully and wholly trust in our God who has promised to provide.
I will sooo be praying for you!!
ReplyDeleteI have been praying and will continue to do so.
ReplyDeleteWe will be praying! John lost his job back in October and the Lord provided another one at the end of December. We definitely know what you are going through!
ReplyDeleteI know what you're going through to some degree! We'll be praying for Gus, you, and Cael. How much are you willing to spend for a vehicle?
ReplyDeleteWe will definitely be praying, Melissa. I am so encouraged by your faith and trust!
ReplyDeleteMelissa, what type of work does Gus do? I will be praying as well as keeping my eyes and ears peeled. *hugs*
