Salamanca

Right before Ruben and Ester left (sniff!) we took a day trip to the city of Salamanca, which is a few hours away. None of us had ever been there so we were excited to see yet another city!! 

We loved this city!

It was pretty chilly-notice Coen's puffy jacket!!

We saw some amazing buildings

We found the Plaza Mayor, which is where business was conducted, back in the day.

And had an amazing lunch!! The weather cooperated to give us a slightly warm and sunny time out on the patio. So fun!!

Then it was back to exploring!

Over to the University of Salamanca

The University of Salamanca is the oldest University in Europe. We had fun exploring!

We walked past and through these buildings, which are also apart of the University. Beautiful!!

And then, before we knew it, it was time for Mimi and Abue to return to the States. We had SUCH a lovely visit with them. Both boys were very sad that they left and to this day, on almost a daily basis, still ask to talk with Mimi and Abue. Thanks for the wonderful visit! We look forward to your return!!
