Our church in León planted a church in a nearby city, Ponferrada, that previously had no Evangelical church in a city of about 70, 000 people. This church now has their own building and has grown to about 70+ attendees! Gus was asked to speak at their Sunday morning and evening services, so as a family we went there for the day.
Once a month, their church does a potluck lunch after the morning service, for lunch, and we happened to be there on a potluck lunch Sunday. Not only was the food very yummy, but it was very special to see this body of church be very close and loving towards each other.
Another highlight of the day was spending time with the American missionaries who planted this church. They worked incredibly hard to start the church and have continued being an amazing example of servants of the Lord.
We met some very special people and look forward to returning soon!
