Berea is part of the European TMAI and every year there is a summit held at various European locations. Gus has been to Switzerland and Germany before and this year it was in Spain!! We had so much fun hosting the conference here!
The conference started Sunday night but a few men came on Saturday night. We hosted a few men at our apartment and I served the men paella Saturday night. These men then came to church on Sunday and treated us to amazing sermons; it was especially fun for me since both sermons were in English (Translated into Spanish by David, whom you can see standing to the left.)
In between the morning and evening service, we hosted a luncheon for everyone. I'm so thankful for the opportunities I have to host and serve people in our home. This lunch was so fun with very yummy food! Over the summer we purchased cecina from a specialty store and were saving it for a special occasion; this lunch was perfect! And wow, was it amazing. So tender that it melted in your mouth. It was fun to host an extra special lunch.
Oh and can I just add a note about this cake...it was amazing!! A combo of 3 batters swirled around and then a chocolate ganache topping.
Then we returned to church for evening service and another amazing message by Christian Andresen.
Many of the conference attendees were there for night service and it was fun to see these guys!
The conference was in Toral for a few days and Gus really enjoyed both the conference and the fellowship. They ended their time in León for some sightseeing and me and the boys joined the guys. It was a lot of fun!
