Please pray

Last night we received a phone call from Gus's mom that Ruben, Gus's dad, had had some chest pains and was in the hospital. It turns out that Ruben in fact had a heart attack, a pretty serious one actually, but thankfully they were able to do a procedure just in time to clear out the blocked valves and leave stints in place. I'm not sure exactly the name of the procedure, but it is the one where they use dye in the veins and a balloon to clear out the blockage. There is a window of time that this procedure can work, and thankfully, Ruben was at the hospital in time. He just "happened" to go to one of only 800 hospitals in the country that can perform this procedure, something else we are thankful for.
Ruben is in ICU right now and should be released to the regular care this afternoon. All went well and he is recovering nicely. Please pray for his continued recovery. Please also pray for the family to trust the Lord through this time. Something like this is always a reminder of how short life can be and how valuable family is. I love Ruben and Ester like my own parents; they are very dear to me. Please pray them!
