Christmas morning started with cinnamon rolls in the shape of a Christmas tree and the last reading of the Piper advent readings.
The boys then got to open their presents and pretty much everything under the tree was two of the same toy; the boys play together so getting them the exact same thing was definitely wise. They really enjoyed the opening process and seeing what the other brother got. It was very cute to watch them help each other and get excited over their brother's toys.
As always, it's over with waay too quickly! Before we knew it, we were down to the last present. A wooden castle that they absolutely loved!
For lunch we went to Tan and Kaarin's house. Kaarin had a beautiful table!!
And the food was AMAZING. Every type of appetizer, followed by roasted chicken.
I brought my traditional chocolate candy cane cake and the cookies we had decorated the night before. So yummy!!
And then......we went home and....got ready for a trip of our lives! Stay tuned for our adventures in.....ITALY! Yes, we drove to visit Massimo and Susanna Mollica, missionaries in Italy. And let me tell you, it was AMAZING!!!! I have over 3, 000 pictures so I will work on putting them all in a few posts. Including our wonderful day in Rome. Sigh. And the best pizza of my life. We are already planning a return trip!
