Dinner with our friends Ryan and Emily. Hillside old schoolers. We knew each other without kids and so it's so fun to hang out with kids, especially a family with all boys, like ours.
A oh so fun (not!) trip to the ER with Cael. He had a cold that went straight to his lungs. After waking up in the middle of the night in tears, saying he couldn't breathe, we knew it was time to go! Thankfully, something of this nature got us thru right away and we didn't have to wait long. His oxygen level was 83 when we arrived-way too low. He got two breathing treatments, X-rays, to make sure he didn't have pneumonia, and, his favorite, a shot of antibiotics in each leg. Yeah, that last one was not pretty. But he survived and when his oxygen level reached 100, we were released!! O happy day!
A visit to the post office to renew the boys' passports. They are set to expire this year, while we're in Spain, so it's much easier to do them here. The line wasn't toooo long and they cooperated quite nicely for those tricky passport photos. Phew! One more thing crossed off our list, and pretty painlessly!
We had a pretty crazy heat wave and spent some serious time in the pool. So thankful for a pool in Mimi and Abue's complex! Best way to tire out active boys. Ever.
We had a Spain night with Gus's family. It was very yummy and included Spanish cheese, paella, and bizcocho. It was so fun to make paella for our family and talk more about our life in Spain. The cousins had fun playing together too!!
