Day 23

Today is our last day in Nebraska. So sad! We took the Harris' out to Cracker Barrel. Neither Gus nor I had been here before. It was AMAZING!

The rest of the day was spent resting at the Harris' apt and packing up...

Gus had a minor incident...Cael put grapefruit seed extract in Gus' contact lens holder when he was supposed to be napping. Gus put his lenses in last night and then on his eyes this morning. All of a sudden Gus experienced pain and burning unlike anything he'd ever experienced before. It was absolutely awful, poor guy. We bought some eye wash and lubricant, which helped tremendously but his eye is still super red. Thankfully it's not toxic, just irritating.

Our last meal with the Harris' was a FEAST! Julie is an amazing cook and Spencer knows his way to a good steak....Julie's shrimp and prosciutto salad

We love you guys beyond words and are so extremely thankful for your hospitality to us over these past few days and your partnership with us as we go to Spain. It is because of people like these guys that we can go to Spain and minister; we know we are not alone. We thank God for you guys!

Please pray for us. We head out tonight, in fact in just minutes from when I post this blog. Our next stop is to Bowling Green, Kentucky and it is a 12 hour drive so that is much easier when babies and children are sleeping and we don't need to stop every 2 hours for bottles and potty breaks. I will have to do a lot of the driving as Gus' eye is still inflamed. Please pray for traveling mercies for us tonight. And a fruitful time in the South. We are excited to go to the South, as neither of us has been down there before. We have several meetings with churches and pastors so please pray for those!
