With my mom's time with us drawing to a close, we wanted to make the most of her remaining time! How fast time flies when you're having fun!!
So one misty, cold day, off we went!!
Our first stop was to a Celtic village up in the mountains about an hour and a half away. We had been there one time before and I love going there!!
Having Irish history in our family, this village is one of my favorite places to go! They always play Irish music in this tourist store and you can hear it as you are walking through the streets. The cobblestone streets are still there and it seems like the village hasn't changed much in a long time.
Our next place to visit was an old Monastery. We saw the sign from the freeway and decided to investigate. I love living in a place with so much history.
And our last place was the city of Ponferrada. It's a very lovely city. With a very cool medieval, templar knight's castle!!
And then, before we knew it, mom went home! My boys still talk about Nana and the fun we had when she took 2 planes to come see us-even though technically she only took 1 plane! We hope that Nana will return again very soon!!

Spain is such a beautiful country! Has that made the transition easier for you?
